Chapel of the Holy Lamb

🎵 Audio guide

The Chapel of the Blessed Lamb is located opposite the Franciscan Hospital. It is a rendered stone masonry construction. It was originally composed of the square, highest section which is now the chancel and was extended in the 19th century, probably, adding a rectangular nave with a small round-arched entrance.

The most impressive part of the interior is the chancel, access to which is through a round arch which was part of the facade of the original chapel. This is closed off with a wooden lattice grille. It is covered by a wooden coffered ceiling with mudejar-style influences. It houses a classical altarpiece in which there is an image of Jesus of Nazareth.
